ABOUT WAWA PRINT SHOP

Wawa Print Shop is a Stockholm-based studio focused on process-driven work with print, material and analog production. Founded by Axel Wahl in 2020, the studio developed from a desire to work more directly with physical processes and to explore how images and objects shift through making rather than fixed design outcomes.

At its core, Wawa Print Shop is a practice centered around screen printing and related techniques, where experimentation, repetition and material behavior shape the work. Rather than approaching print as a purely technical service, the studio treats it as a way of thinking through process, where results are often secondary to how they emerge.

This approach extends across different formats — from workshops and collaborative projects to selected print production. Workshops function as temporary spaces for collective making and experimentation, while print work is taken on selectively as an extension of the same process-based practice.

Alongside collaborations, Wawa Print Shop continuously develops its own body of work through small-scale printed pieces and ongoing material studies.
